Perhaps Tiger can lead us out of the desert
Why do we need a picture here?
It’s been our habit to sort of…
Instagram. We give people a picture to look at and they stare at the picture and they go oh, oh, oh but they never bother to read, which is the point of our existence I believe.
Yes. You’re right.
So explain this to me. What are we doing right now?
This has something to do with an attempt at manipulating social media to draw attention to us in the hopes that something will happen.
And what do you want to happen?
That we find people to take an interest in this and perhaps participate here. As writers, students, commentators or just readers who say thank you or something like that.
Okay fair enough. This is a fishing expedition. Does it work?
Generally as what you call a fishing expedition, perhaps better edited to a mushroom hunt or something like that… No, it’s not the same thing. Actually, from a vegan point of view, it’s exactly like a fishing trip. You see you go to the river and you sit there with your favorite stick. Perhaps you’re a baseball bat or your golf club.
I’m thinking the golf club goes on the fishing trip more than the baseball bat.
Yeah, I guess it does. And that sword doesn’t really help.
No, I like the sword. Are we riding about the sword this week?
Got it. On it. Find it. It’s written down. Sword thoughts.
Ballot issue.
Ballot issue. Page one. Under the fold on the right side. Shall we take a shot at it right now.
Make it so. Next line of business, what’s the story with the golf?
You are playing field golf in a foursome with Tiger, Lu San and Shohei.
Right. Sounds like fun. What’s the story on The Longest Day Celebration?
It’s a street fair and we are covering it.
Does that mean that our reporters get high and walk around?
Undoubtedly. However, I believe we are covering the street theater scene of Longest Day. I believe there are several short plays to be exhibited. A bit of Shakespeare. A bit of public mischief.
Right, we are a fiction magazine. What is the fiction.
Paradise in some form or size. We have an interesting anomaly in that the solstice happens to fall this year at 5:57 p.m. . So we are publishing our story of Sam and Olga and Randolph at 5:57 p.m. on Wednesday. That is pre-published automatically. We’re not going to waste our time on the computer at 5:57 on Wednesday.
Absolutely not.
Conceptually speaking and in the spirit of the holiday, Paradise or frankly our reason for living seems to be that someone is interviewing God. Is that you?
No, that’s Hillel. I believe he’s making headway in the press corps and is biding his time waiting for a good interview with the man himself.
And then there is something about our relationship with pigs. This is a search through the archives.
For the children?
We are borrowing again this week but, this is leading to some Practical English. So I believe the book will be well used as a literacy tool. And for what it matters, we are also responsible for an essay regarding the rather unfortunate news of reaching the two degree mark in global warming. I hate to be the one to shatter the mood in a meeting about utopian literature. But unfortunately we must be grounded in reality or there is no purpose to life.
Is there anything else?
I think that about covers it.
Questions? Commentary? By the way, are we millionaires yet?
Easily.
Good. It’s better when you don’t have to worry about money.
